Ultimate Frisbee?

Yes, I know this is the Bocce on Thursdays space, I'm sorry to intrude but I was hoping to get a group together that might be interested in Ultimate....

Perhaps Sunday's from 2-4pm Rain or Shine/Hail or Snow.

I'm open to field choices but we realy shouldn't play where Bocce is because of the damage to the field.  Perhaps Wright Park, or anywhere else people might like to play.  If you are interested give me a call on my cell

Hope to talk to you soon-

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

Do you have a neighborhood preference?

There aren't many flat spots in Wright Park for an ultimate game.  Jefferson Park works well.  As does Garfield Park.

My cleats haven't been dirty in a while...  Maybe it's time to play.

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

:)

Super.  I don't even own a pair anymore, but I'm sure that can be handled.

Besides, face deep in mud is always fun, no matter how old you get.

What are the addresses/cross streets to the other two parks mentioned.  I down for anywhere.

Thanks

Rob

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

I'm sure there are other good fields.  Anybody?

Jefferson Park - Near Proctor and North 7th:

Garfield Park - in between the Stadium District and Old Town:

Franklin Park (S 12th and Puget Sound) has a nice and flat field.

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

Just give me a shoot anytime- via email robert.collins@usbank.com

I don't get on to the exit 133 site enough to keep up with everything always.  If people are interested then let's meet up where it is easy and go from there.  Thanks for the help in setting this idea up everyone!

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

Well, we have several people all interested at this point.  Lets pick Jefferson Park for now, check it out, if we like we will come back, if not we have others to choose from, and pick a time for everyone to meet up.  I think maybe Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm or something like that.  Sunday's are a little tougher for me to work out my schedule.  Again, if you need to reach me faster then my posts, my email is posted prior.

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

Sorry, one more delayed thought.  I would love to see us play in the south end to help bring back a community involvement for our parks in a traditionally undervalued park arena.  I live near 6th Ave so north or south as far as ease for me to get to is not an issue.  However, the more people we attract to our little game the better!  Again, let's start at Jefferson and see where it takes us.  We could even meet at different fields each week to keep our fields in better shape.  I know when I used to play a lot at PLU we tore the field up fast!

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

Hi, There [anyone who is potentially still interested].

Myself, Rob Collins, and a few randoms uninvolved with exit 133 are looking to organize this team/ group, as a standard weekend recurrance (Saturdays or Sundays, most likely at Wright Park or another North End/ Stadium District/ Proctor/ UPS area location, but locale will depend upon convenience for those interested..)

It would be co-ed, low-key, and all ages and abilities are welcome.

Please contact me if you are interested in tossing a disk around.

Thanks for your time,

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

I would be interested if you are playing with an actual frisbee! I still play frisbee golf with just a frisbee, not those extra cool discs.  I guess I'm just old fashioned.

Re: Ultimate Frisbee?

I'm interested: scottsch111@hotmail.com.

Sundays tend to be better for me than Saturdays because I'm a wedding photographer. I do occasionally have free Saturdays too, though. Or weekday evenings? It's light late now!
