Urban Gourmet on 6th seems to be no more

Went to dinner at Gateway to India last night, and saw signs in the window of Urban Gourmet that the whole building is for lease.  It was dark so I couldn't see inside well, but looked empty....Very sad.  One of my favorite stores, but unfortunately, I just couldn't shop there often.  I rarely need new kitchen stuff, and same for bulk spices.  But the owners were awesome, and the few cooking classes I took there were fantastic.  And now who is going to sharpen my knives? Alas....

They're supposed to have moved around the corner, with an entry on Fife behind the old PlanetBurrito/Ezell's/HerbanCafe space. I haven't been over to verify since they were closing out the old space, so I certainly hope they didn't decide to completely shut down...

Yes, they told me a couple months ago they were moving into the back space, with the entrance to be on South Fife.  If you walk by that door on South Fife, it says something about the business being closed and the entire space is for lease.
