With sweeping vistas of the region, community pride runs deep in the McKinley Hill area, one of Tacoma’s oldest neighborhoods. On any given morning you can feel the community bond at “Fergies on the Ave,” a local diner that has been serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner for years.
McKinley Hill is home of the annual McKinley Arts and Street Festival—a community celebration of art, music and food. New businesses in the district offer hair styling, great coffee, fabulous cocktails and homemade food. McKinley is also the home of the Dome Top Neighborhood Alliance.
So, the next time you are out and about, just head up the hill and say hello to McKinley.
