Stadium Business District

Just a short drive from the bustling streets of downtown Tacoma, the Stadium District offers all the products and services modern life requires in a picturesque neighborhood setting. The Stadium District is home to some of Tacoma’s most impressive man-made and natural landmarks. Located high on a cliff, the neighborhood offers breathtaking views of Commencement Bay and the Olympic Mountains, while the grand architecture of Stadium High School with its French chateau design and classic turrets, serves as the visual and sentimental centerpiece of the community. Built in 1891 as a luxurious tourist hotel, the building is celebrating its centennial anniversary as a public high school and begins its second century with a new $100 million renovation.

Just down Tacoma Avenue from Stadium High is the lush greenery of the 27-acre Wright Park and Seymour Botanical Conservatory, which are surrounded by blocks of stately old homes and mansions that were built by many of the Northwest’s railroad, timber and shipping barons near the turn of the 20th century.
