"Imagine Tacoma" Wins AIA Merit Award

Over the last 18 months, architect David Boe has written 49 Imagine Tacoma columns for Exit133. Now he is being recognized for this work by his peers. Last week, the American Institute of Architects for Southwest Washington held their annual Design Awards and awarded David Boe a Merit Award in the Un-Built Category for Imagine Tacoma. It was the only award given in this category this year. While we were reading the program, we also noticed that Davest, Whitney and I are named on the nomination. Ahhh, thanks David.
We will also take this time to provide a little Imagine Tacoma recap:

this award will look good as a dust jacket embellishment for David Boe’s IMAGINE TACOMA coffee table book.

49 “Imagine Tacoma” columns…wow.
Since you’re done here, could you help out FeedTacoma?
Thanks.

Congratulations Exit 133 and David Boe! What a great project Imagine Tacoma was.
Another reason to appoint David Boe to Tacoma City Council.
Let’s encourage the council to make their decision based on the merits of the applicants.
Boe has the critical skills needed to renovate and rebuild the city.
