1114 Pacific - What's Going On?
I’ve heard from a few folks that some considerable work is being done at 1114 Pacific. This is the building with the funky siding located next to Washington Mutual on Pacific. “They took down the ugly vertical slats on the front of the building, and it’s, like, actually an attractive building…who knew?”
If I have the address correct, this is the circa 1931 Publix Market and Garage building. Does anybody know what’s going on? Send photos!

I subbed once at Gault. Historic or not, the building is nearly useless for a school. I can’t think of any other use, other than maybe as office space, but no one really wants rooms of those dimensions. Maybe it could be useful for small firms who needs a room or two. Maybe not.
