2012 Downtown Construction Projects Open Houses
A fair amount of construction work will ge going on in downtown Tacoma in the next few months, which will probably mean at the least a few disruptions to your routine if you find yourself in that part of town. The City will be holding open houses, with staff on hand to share information on the scope of various projects, answer your questions, and let you know about resources for when issues surface.
Downtown Construction Open Houses
When: (duplicate sessions)
- Wednesday, June 13, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 13, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, June 14, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Thursday, June 14, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Sorta on the subject… I’d like to see the BIA start to focus on helping the city get support for major LID improvement projects downtown so we’d see more fix-ups of streets like Tacoma Avenue, Market, the old brewery area, etc. I love these sorts of projects as they seem to tell the world that Tacoma cares about itself…
