A Bit of Goodwill
Our fine friends at Tacoma Goodwill have some great news and a request.
Goodwill opened their newest store today at 8:45 am (about 30 minutes ago). It’s their eighth store in Pierce County and it gives you a glimpse into how they’ve changed the store environment to be more family friendly. It’s located on Sixth Avenue (5401 Sixth Ave) between Les Schwab and the Sears Outlet store. If you donate something today, you’ll receive a coupon for coffee from Cutter’s Point. We’ve seen several tweets from people standing in line this morning to get in. Join the festivities!
Now for the request. Goodwill needs donations now! We’re facing tough economic times and demand for Goodwill’s services is up more than 20 percent over last year. Sales at Goodwill stores are up as well as families work to stretch the value of their dollar. Combine these factors with their new store on Sixth Avenue and … Goodwill needs donations! Now would be a great time to look through your closet, under the bed, in the garage, and see if you have anything to give.
