A Lesbian Love Letter to Tacoma

We always enjoy reading positive reviews of Tacoma, so we enjoyed browsing a recent post from the website “Autostraddle,” under the heading “Queer Girl City Guide.” Autostraddle’s tagline reads “news, entertainment, opinion and girl-on-girl culture.”

The author of the Queer Girl City Guide: Tacoma, Washington describes Tacoma as “a resplendent medium-sized queer paradise,” and “a brilliant place to be a gay lady.”

Three neighborhoods get recommendations from the author: 6th Avenue, the Stadium District, and the Hilltop, along with a generous handful of bars, restaurants and other businesses. The description of Tacoma’s gay scene is described as “very friendly,” overall.

Gay or straight, all this flattery has us blushing.

This story should have a video attached to it, IMHO.

The author called Tacoma “a brilliant place to be a gay lady?”

When I live my dream, Tacoma will be a brilliant place to be a straight man. There will be blue sky and sunshine. The ladies will be fair-skinned, and they’ll wear flowers in their hair. There will be two straight ladies for every straight man—ladies with poise and wisdom. When I live my dream, Tacoma will be meadows resplendent with wildflowers and fresh air such as that—a medium-sized straight paradise.

For the sake of critical thinking in Tacoma:
What would girlwriteswhat say? This young woman has lots to say about gender equality. She expresses her views on her youtube channel and at owningyourshit.blogspot.com.
