A Little Snow, A Little Wind...
Last night’s window-rattling storm stranded hundreds of commuters, turned off the lights all over the city, trimmed our trees and filled our potholes. We were prepared to wake this morning to a world of anarchy and igloos, but were impressed to find that our public works crews had not failed us. Though some local government offices are closed for the day, those of us forced to travel found our roads to be mostly cleared and de-iced early. Power is almost completely restored within the City as well according to TPU.
It seems things are returning to normal within the city limits. Of course, if you must travel, do so carefully and more slowly than usual. Ice is often slippery. Also keep in mind that Pierce Transit is on reduced service and snow routes. All Tacoma libraries are also closed for the day, as are the Tacoma Municipal Court offices. And if you don’t know about the school closures by now, you probably don’t have children in the system.

Personally, i prefer the lemon tea/ bourbon/ honey variant of hot toddy. It makes your chest feel more hairy as it goes down.
