A Million Dollar View (?)

  This listing hit our inbox this morning.  “Looking for a Million dollar view? Here it is! 2001 newly re-done home offers views…”  It’s not often that we see million dollar listings.  Most of the time it’s one of those grand homes on Yakima Avenue or one precariously perched over the water like Yanni’s house.  This is something a bit different.  It’s not small, but it’s not huge.  It’s basically new construction in Old Town.  The lot is quite impressive.  With that lawn we could have like three bocce courts.  Some folks are into that.  We watched the construction back in 2001 that converted this 1900 house into what it is today.  It was like the house doubled or tripled in size – sideways.  $1.177 million minus $1 million for the okay view with credit for the lot equals a $177k home.  It seems like a bargain all of a sudden…
