America's Got Talent Coming to Tacoma

The reality TV show “America’s Got Talent” is coming to Tacoma people. Well, according to their press release they are coming to Seattle, but the auditions are actually at the Tacoma Convention Center.
What is “America’s Got Talent”?
Each week, the show features a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage in front of a panel of celebrity judges in the hopes they’ll be chosen a winner by the viewing audience.
Expect hoards of frantic fame seeking talented people to flood our town April 25-26. Especially when everyone finds out that new host Nick Cannon will be there.
From what we hear, the public is invited to come out and watch the auditions. Any takers?

I highly doubt my amazingly good nose harp playing would make the cut (I can play that song by Cher and Peter Cetera). Major networks have no love for the nose harp anymore.

I’m tempted to go down there and just do something foolish to see if I can get on TV. Anyone have a suggestion?

Belch an entire song?

@reenerb
Maybe, I am pretty good at belching.

Two words, argyle:
Nose Harp
Form a band… one person on the ukulele, one on the nose harp and one on the gallon jug.
Then play the national anthem. It’d be unpatriotic and politically incorrect for them not to put you on TV.

Hmmm… I do own a ukulele.

My whole life, people have been telling me “Forget it, you’ll never make it as a contortionist.” Then I uncross my folded arms and cover my right hand with a sweatsock and say, “Hey, I can always fall back on ventriloquism.”
How come people in Tacoma are so intimidated by talented people?
