America's Most Dangerous Cities

Once upon a time somebody told me that in order for there to be a top 50% there has to be a bottom 50%.  Without the bottom there is no top…  So we serve a purpose!  Which brings us to the Most Dangerous Cities Survey compiled by the Morgan Quitno Press.  The good news is that of the cities in the survey, there are 47 cities more dangerous than Tacoma.  On the other hand, there are 323 cities less dangerous.  It is interesting that Detroit and St. Louis, the two world series teams are at the bottom of the list.  What does this say about the connection between sports and crime?  Or maybe it simply means we have more in common with a world championship city than we do with Bellevue…

On a similar topic, Pierce County recently launched its Neighborhood Crime website a few weeks ago (via Tacomaness).  Ahh… murder is way down in my area, but kidnapping is up.  Curious.

I’m still an optimist.

Thanks a ton for the writeup and for the mention of ParaWa in your article.

We had a truly fantastic time and have been very busy going through the large amounts of photographs, audio and video collected during that evenings investigation.

“…searching for ghosts and other paranormal activity is like setting up a stage for a theater…”

I don’t think it is just LIKE that… I think it IS that.

It was wonderful meeting you and the welcoming staff of the Seven-Oh-Seven. ParaWa would love to investigate some more beautiful old Tacoma buildings some time. Hope to see you again.
