An Interactive Lego Expo at Freighthouse Square - With Your Help...

Here' a Tacoma-based Kickstarter for all you Lego fans out there - the chance to help Tacoma-based City Blocks bring their BRICK by BRICK interactive Lego Expo to Freighthouse Square this spring.

The guys down at City Blocks build some pretty amazing stuff out of Legos, and they want to share their love for the little plastic bricks with you. If the event gets funded, attendees will get to see the Lego art of City Blocks, and will have the opportunity to play and build for themselves.

Not just for kids, this is a LEGO art expo with hi-impact interactive creative community building! Engineering, architecture, and more!

They're only asking for $1,000 as their initial goal. They've got 10 days to get there. If they exceed the goal, they promise to expand the interactive opportunities at the expo.

Rewards include admission to and various levels of participation in the expo, as well as some neat little takeaways - a specially-designed key chain that lets you take Legos with you wherever you go, a little Lego Buddy, and even a Lego Tacoma skyline. If you can't make it to the expo yourself, you can also choose the option of funding it, and donating tickets to foster kids.

The goal is to hold the event at Freighthouse Square March 28 through April 12, giving you plenty of time to indulge your inner child and to let your kids discover their own inner engineers.

They need something. I made the mistake of taking my nephew to City Blocks. What a bust. One more business to take off the Tacoma tour of must see places. Interactive? Not so much. They are label makers.
