Announcing Another Tacoma Based Blog...

...that has nothing to do with Tacoma.

Okay, here’s the full story. I was thinking the other day as I was feeling highly unmotivated by the latest Tacoma news that I needed something a bit less serious. City politics. The future of the Arts. Real estate. Where we eat. How about something a bit more fun.

What could I do? The sites that I like have a definite niche and are slightly (to extremely) irreverent. I needed a niche. Tacoma sure is a niche, but I wanted something a bit more universal. So now I needed a niche with broad appeal that was at least vaguely interesting to me. This idea followed me for a few days. In the end, my experiment for this week is a dog themed blog called Pawsse (pronounced like posse).

We have a dog. We have a lot of dog stories. Generally speaking, the dog themed websites out there are really really scary. I haven’t seen so many blinking fonts in a very long time. I hope to do something a little different. Please keep in mind – I’m not some dog fanatic that watches all the dog shows on cable, has memorized Best In Show, and knows the differences between all the terriers at Westminster. I’ve had dogs. I like to write about things. Dogs will be my distraction when I’m not writing about Tacoma.

Pawsse is another experiment. While Exit133 is an experiment in writing about things I really care about, Pawsse is more about marketing. If you know me, you know that I don’t need more projects. I expect a bit of abuse from a few of you. Oh well. I spent two hours last night building the site framework.

Check it out at www.pawsse.com. Tell your friends. Send me stories and tips.
