Art Slam Seeks Submissions

This November marks Tacoma’s 7th annual Art at Work month, and the Arts Commission once again seeks submissions for the Art Slam. (Don’t worry about the name; we’re sure they’ll treat your art/ego with care.)

Actually, the Art Slam is a one-night showcase for South Sound artists working in a variety of media, which will take place Nov. 21 from 7 to 9pm. Anyone who makes visual art, music, dance, performance, film, or literary art is invited to share their work. The deadline for spoken word submissions is Oct. 13, for all other submissions it’s Oct. 27. More information, including specific submission guidelines, can be found at the Art at Work webpage .
