Beautiful Canoes... So Many Canoes

We didn’t make it down to Maritime Fest this weekend, but it seems like a lot of you did. The photos are coming in and what do I see? Beautiful wooden canoes. Lots of them. Ahh… my heart. They’re so amazing. A few days ago the News Tribune even had a cover photo and story about locally produced wood canoes.
The photo is my canoe. Here’s my question. Are there any local folks that restore boats like this? Mine has a fiberglass overlay on it, but could use some love on the top to restore some of the exposed wood. Anybody?

I’m becoming more afraid of our police than the “bad element” they’re supposed to be protecting us from. I hope Arianna will find some comfort in the fact that her story is being picked up and posted on other independent websites and blogs.

It would appear that some parts of Tacoma are mightier than others.

Restraining orders are becoming more about keeping the unwritten common law trash in their place than they are about preventing abuse.
I’d say often they are used by the ‘them’ to in fact recreate the cycle of abuse, once again.

It hasn’t been the same on Exit133 since Daniel Blue was pushed away from Tacoma.

Oh come now, let’s not be maudlin! Only a week and a half ago, I was cluttering your facebook feed with updates. It’s just been a quiet several days.

I think Exit133 is still relevant. I just found out where to get a good deal on Ugg boots. What is more important, political discourse or where to get some cute Ugg boots?
