BevMo! Celebrates Grand Opening With Tastings, Giveaways

A few laws change and the next thing we know there’s a whole new category of retail store in Tacoma … If you haven’t had a chance to check out the offerings at the newest Tacoma liquor giant, the grand opening party at BevMo! this Friday might be your chance. With tastings and giveaways, BevMo! is going out of its way to win friends and influence people.

This weekend marks the official opening of the new 12,000 square foot BevMo! stores in Tacoma and Silverdale, and they have a weekend of festivities planned including wine, beer, and food tastings, and free goodie bags for the first 500 people in line when the doors open at 9:00 a.m. this Friday. Tastings and demos will be going on in the stores all weekend. Here’s a preview of what they’ve got in store:

9 a.m. – Ribbon cutting ceremony and goodie bag giveaway

9 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Cadaretta & Buried Cane Wines, Valentin & Elsa Bianchi Wines Silver City Brewing, Mt. Townsend Cheese

12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Treveri Cellars, Red Hook Brewing, Bainbridge Distillers, La Panzanella Crackers, Yancey’s Cheese

3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Special appearance by 2009 Food & Wine Magazine’s Winemaker of the Year, Charles Smith from Charles Smith Wines who will be signing bottles.

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Mercer Estates, Elysian Brewing, Stoli Vodka, Tommy’s Margarita, Tillen Farms

Saturday, July 14
