BLID Update for Nov. 19th
A quick note from the City on the Broadway LID Project:
Broadway, from 2nd to 6 streets, is scheduled to be paved on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. No access will be allowed on Broadway while the paving is underway. The parking areas along Broadway, from 2nd to 6th, will remain closed until all paving for this area is complete; the paving is scheduled to be done on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Don’t go getting lost around Broadway this week. Oh, and as always, if it rains this won’t be happening.
But the project is looking good…

Apart from the impact on businesses, and despite the minor inconveniences with parking and access, I have to admit that when I was living on Broadway, the contractor(s), traffic control, inspectors, etc. were courteous, safe, and professional in dealing with the public. They kept the streets watered, and at the end of the work day cleaned up the areas of work very well. When I got boxed in by some dump trucks, they went out of their way to move. That was my experience, anyway.

It is nice that they kept the streets watered. It would have been nice if the contractor doing Pacific Ave. would have done that this summer.
