Bocce In Lincoln Tomorrow
Tomorrow night we’re heading to the Lincoln Business District to play a bit of bocce and continue our tournament through the business districts of Tacoma. This will be, similar to last week, another low key evening. Some folks may be starting with some food from Vien Dong at South 38th and Yakima. Prizes will include an Exit133 t-shirt and a gift certificate to one of the restaurants.
If you haven’t been out, you should definitely come out and play with us. No need to know the rules. We’re friendly and can explain the game in less than 2 minutes. We taught Ann the game last week and she took home all the prizes. It could be you!
Games will start between 5:30 and 6:00 in Lincoln Park – South Thompson between 35th and 37th (or so).

p.s. Unfortunately, I (Derek) won’t be able to be there due to some rather important school commitments that are a bit inflexible. A few of our regular hosts will be joining me. So … we’re looking for support from our regular players to help make this the biggest bocce night yet. On the plus side, my evenings will be much more free soon.

I’ve been wanting to check out the food from that truck. If one gets there early enough and has never been there, Lincoln Hardware on G St. is a must-visit. And a couple helpful appliance-repair part stores are across the street. Tim at Big-Vac (vacuum and janitorial) on 38th St. put together a kit for me to install a central vac system.

I’m afraid I’ll have to sit this one out. I journeyed to Tacoma this morning and will be there again on Saturday. A round trip costs about $15 for me these days…
