Brrr.. A Chilly BLID Update

More on the BLID front.

Construction for the BLID project has been temporarily delayed due to the inclement weather. Unfortunately since Friday of last week we have had rain, freezing temperatures and a light dusting of snow. With the weather we are experiencing, the work on the three intersections (4th & Broadway, 6th & Broadway, and 7th & St. Helens), as well as the entire project, has been delayed. In the meantime, the construction crews are currently performing minimal landscaping, electrical tie-ins, site policing and general cleanup until the weather improves.

The crews are waiting for the cold weather to subside, when it does (and as long as its not raining) the crews can resume work at these three intersections. Weather permitting, this work is estimated to take about 2 weeks. Upon completion of this work, the areas will be opened to traffic.

Not surprising but personally, I just want to get this whole thing over with.
