Building Community One Block at a Time
We had the amazing experience of going to the first annual 36th and Roxbury block party this weekend in West Seattle. The citizens of this one city block got the necessary city permits, hired a band, picked up a few kegs, blocked off the streets, and had a party. There were somewhere in the neighborhood of three hundred people there. It was awesome. What a way to build community. Somehow my block full of retirees may not be quite the blast. But I’m sure some of you live on more rockin’ streets. Go for it. Meet your neighbors! Split a keg and a rack of ribs! or maybe a stack of Garden Burgers!

I’m new to Exit 133, and appreciate the review of the City Council meeting. Thanks.

Exit133’s coverage of the council meetings and other City Business is exceptional.
