Bulletproof Mascara Book Launch on Thursday

Tacoma can now claim one more novelist within its city limits.

Bethany Maines is a Tacoma native who works as a graphic designer by day to cover for her other interests, including travel and kicking butt with her third degree black belt in karate. Maines’ book Bulletproof Mascara, a female spy thriller, was released by Simon & Schuster today.

Celebrate with the author at King’s Bookstore on Thursday night. Enjoy the company of the King’s Bookstore cats as Chémel Salon provides mini-makeovers. There will be door prizes, uniformed staff and a donation bar provided by Doyle’s Public House.
