Bus Crawl for Prop 1
If you’re a Prop 1 supporter (and we know at least one or two of you are), or even if you’re on the fence, and want to learn more, Restore Transit Now is hosting what looks like a fun event this evening.
Bus. Bike. Crawl.
Come out to support Proposition 1 by supporting local business! Join local transit advocates, community leaders, and people who are passionate about Tacoma, for a Bus Crawl visiting local establishments who support Prop 1.
We will start at Doyle’s at 208 Saint Helens Avenue at 5:30 on Thursday October 18th. We’ll be working our way up 6th Avenue on the 11 Bus Route, or join us by bike and ride the route!
Can’t make it at 5:30? Be sure to like us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/RestoreTransitNow and we’ll be posting up to the minute updates on where we will be along the way!
It’s a fun way to get the word out about Prop 1, and support our pro-transit local businesses!
5:11 Meet at Doyles at 208 St Helens
6:11 Catch the 11 to the Parkway Tavern, 313 North I Street
7:11 Catch the 11 up 6th Ave to the Red Hot, 2914 6th Avenue
8:11 Walk to It’s Amore, 2715 6th Ave and end the night with drinks specials just for our Bus Crawl!
It’s getting to be that time in the election year when we’ve had about all we can take of negative political commercials and mailboxes overflowing with campaign flyers, but this sounds like it could actually be fun…

Thanks to all who came out and to all who let us tell our story! We have some proud bus riders in this city and many who appreciate that the rest of us are on the bus to improve congestion. Prop 1 isn’t just about the people on the bus, it’s about making our community better and providing commute options for everyone!

Adding to our regressive tax structure and making Tacoma a non-destination for buyers of big ticket items will make our “community better?”
Doubt it.
Maybe when you finish your pub crawl you can sober up to reality.
