Capers For Dinner

One of our favorite lunch spots recently changed hands, but you may not have noticed. The new owner of Capers has retained the menu and much of the staff but is working on putting her own spin on the popular place, starting with dinner.

We are happy to announce that we will be opening for dinner service starting Valentine’s Day, February 14th. We will begin serving dinner at 5:30pm. You may call to reserve your place, however, it is not required.

Our new hours will be Mon-Thurs 10:30am-10pm, Fri 10:30am-12am, and Sat 5:30pm-12am. Dinner service during the week will begin at 5:30pm.

Mmmm…. sounds good.

Didn’t even know they were there.

Sad on my part… and sad on their advertising.

Scary day to start a dinner. If it goes well all is good. If it goes well you messed up someone’s Valentine’s Dinner. Hard to recover from that bad word of mouth.

Mmmmm … love lunch at Capers. Make sure to get there early, or a little late … that place is often packed at the height of lunch hour …

Well just a little info on this great and upcoming venture. Chad (formally of primo Grill & sous chef of Staduim Bistro) will be at the helm serving some of his really great creations. Steeno253 will be be giving excellent customer serice as one of the servers and bartenders. I look very forward to being a frequent guest of this fine establishment.

I will be there for dinner on Saturday, with my sweetheart.

their lunches are amazing, and I’m totally looking forward to dinner.

I’m addicted to their white chili, especially on a cold winter day. I’m looking forward to seeing what their supper menu looks like.

That is great they are open in the evenings again. I hope they do well!

In other restaurant news, I heard cascade bagel connected to the history museum is closing due to lack of business!

My GF and I ate there tonight. Food was good, atmosphere is nice, the waitresses were kinda slow, but very personable.

Only thing was, we were there about 8pm and the place was nearly dead.
Are people just not eating out, or is Capers just completely unknown?

TOT – It might be that people just don’t know that they’re open for dinner. Might also be the dead downtown syndrome. I was at Red Robin (14 yr olds choice – not mine) and it was packed. People seem to line up for what they know they’ll get rather than take a small risk and try something new. Culinary Coward Syndrome (CCS)

If you have CCS, don’t worry! Relief is here in the form of an easy to take, three-times daily pill!

    Introducing Restaurantisol.

Now you can eat something different without the risk of the guilt and anxiety associated with a complacent, monotonous lifestyle.

WARNING: Side effects may include an altered perception of what good food is, unwillingness to continue cramming burgers down your trap, improved health, lower cholesterol and an aversion to kings, clowns, chicks named Wendy and jack-in-the-boxes

well, Mark and I always whine about getting good food after 8 pm downtown…that doesn’t cost his arm and my leg…we always default to El Groucho about 9:30pm…So, taking the train dt, is great, and we’ll try Capers……I can’t stand Matador…the seats are Hard, but the toilets are pretty.

The Margareta’s are very good at Matador. Cautionary note: 2 of them late sunday evening make for a less than energetic Monday morning.
