Casey's Contraptions Sold to Rovio of Angry Birds Fame

The word all over the internets today is that Casey’s Contraptions, a physics based game for the iPad built by Proctor resident Miguel Á. Friginal, has been sold to Rovio. If you haven’t played Casey’s Contraptions, you should. We’ve had it loaded on our iPad since shortly after its release.

The Angry Birds creators now plan to use the game’s foundation to release a new game called Amazing Alex. Why is this a big deal? 1) Because Rovio has never strayed from the Angry Birds franchise after more than 1 billion downloads. This is a step toward an expansion of what they do as a company, and 2) this is a product conceived and created in Tacoma. Congratulations, Miguel!
