Cast Your Ballot!
Tomorrow, November 6th 2007, is Election Day for anyone who still visits the polls and doesn’t vote by mail. And since you’re an Exit133 reader, we’ll assume you have a thorough command of the finer points and inner complexities of each issue … or maybe you’re just good at pretending. Either way, your vote is important.
Council Races
Julie Anderson vs Will Baker
(Council at Large – Position No. 7)
Marilyn Strickland vs David Curry
(Council at Large – Position No. 8)
Spiro Manthou vs Harold G. Moss
(Council – District No. 1)
Lauren Walker vs Ronnie Allen Warren
(Council – District No. 3)
Port of Tacoma
Don Johnson vs Bill Casper
(Commissioner – Position No. 3)
Clare Petrich vs Bernard Tuma
(Commissioner – Position No. 5)
Besides the City Council races, there is the big vote on Proposition 1 that would provide light rail to the airport from Tacoma and some highway projects (it sounds so simple when described in one sentence).
If you’ve already voted, and are still itching to cast a ballot for something, IMDb is currently polling on whether you prefer to read a book and then watch the movie adaptation or vice versa. Because that’s the issue that really affect us …
There’s good election discussions in the Forums if you want to keep up with the conversation (Thank you, Erik B).
