Celebrating 15 Years of the Grand Old Grand Cinema
The Grand Cinema is celebrating 15 successful years since its rebirth back in 1997 with 15 days of deals to thank its loyal patrons. Tacoma’s nonprofit theater has made some changes over the years, including the recent expansion into a fourth theater, and the addition of a slew of unique programming. All of this would not have been possible without the committed dedication of Grand volunteers and board members.
The 15 days of deals began yesterday, and will continue through April 18. The deals include admissions deals of $5 for all showings of all movies, and free movie Mondays for Grand Cinema members. On April 18th, the grand finale of the two weeks of deals will be a celebration of the Grand’s birthday, complete with birthday cake, appetizers, and drinks, as well as recollections of the Grand’s grand history, and recognitions of the work of Grand volunteers and other supporters, and thank yous to Grand patrons (you’ve done your part too – we have first-hand experience with the hard work that goes into enjoying movies and munching on the best popcorn in town).
Grand Cinema 15 Days of Deals: Wednesday, April 4 – Wednesday April 18
Official Grand Birthday Celebration: April 18, 6:00 p.m.

This is my favorite movie house in Tacoma.
Don’t see nearly enough movies there.
