Cheney Stadium Project - $821k More?
Tonight’s City Council meeting includes an $821k allocation to Mortenson related to Cheney Stadium upgrade costs. Costs that, according to The News Tribune, were once said to be included at “no cost.” On time. On budget … we’re still trying to figure out this whole City of Tacoma bidding process.

Look at the top of the contract. If it says “bid” then Tacoma owes them nothing. If it says “estimate”, we owe them the money. A bid is a definate number where an estimate is just that — a projected cost.
