Showcase Tacoma - Volunteers Needed
Showcase Tacoma
Friday August 11, Saturday August 12, and Sunday August 13.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
There is a tremendous need for volunteers for four info booths during the upcoming Chihuly Fest days in downtown Tacoma (This year: UWT, Pacific Plaza & Museum District)
Be a part of the first of what hopefully will become an annual Tacoma arts festival! Select a time(s) that you can cover a booth for approximately 3-4 hours. Times run anywhere from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. There’ll be stations at the Museum of Glass, Pacific Plaza, base of UWT steps/Pacific Avenue and Art Alley. In cooperation with the School of the Arts Tacoma, Metro Parks and local museums, this festival will celebrate Chihuly and have something for everyone… even chalk artists from around the world!
Please feel free to bring/recruit like minded community volunteers to help you as each booth will need 2 people per shift.
Each both will be stocked with literature and bottled water. The organizers are currently working on a tee shirt/hat or some kind of item that will unify and identify the volunteers. Parking passes will be provided. This is the kind of activity and spirit that keeps art alive in Tacoma and makes it such a phenomenal place to live.

Make Exit133 Proud!
Update:Laura and I will be there volunteering. Will anybody else join the party? So far… not feeling proud. Where are you?
