Children's Museum Finds A New Home

I go out of town for a few days and somehow missed this one …

The Children’s Museum of Tacoma has found a new home. The last time we talked about the museum’s search for a new site was during the Thea Foss waterfront location discussion that polarized a lot of our friends.

Now, two years later, have a lease in downtown Tacoma. The Children’s Museum will be moving from its Broadway location into the first floor of the United Way building at South 15th and Pacific. They’ve signed a 10 year lease with extension that could take it out another 15 years beyond that. They hope to be open in the fall of 2011.
