Children's Museum Piggy Bank Campaign Ends Today
If your little ones have been saving their pennies to help all kids have access to the Children’s Museum through their “Pay As You Will” program, today’s the day to turn them in. Every child who turns in a full piggy bank (64 oz. or bigger) by today will get to be one of the first to play in the new museum (on the first floor of the United Way building at 15th and Pacific) for free between December 26th and 30th – before it is open to the public. The piggy banks can be returned to any KeyBank branch, or to the museum itself.
When the new Children’s Museum location opens January 14th, admission will be on a “Pay As You Will” basis, meaning that any child will have access to the museum, no matter what their family financial situation. It’s a bold and amazing move. The Children’s Museum, along with generous supporters from the community, including KeyBank kicked off the effort to fund this program, and local children are scraping together their pennies to make sure their peers all have access to the exciting new facility.
