ChildTrek: A New Eco-Friendly Toy Store
Worried that the toy truck your toddler is gnawing on is bad for her health – or even bad for the environment? Well, a new children’s toy store has come to Tacoma with child safety and green living in mind.
“ChildTrek believes that the best toys are good for both kids and the planet, and actively promotes the idea of living in harmony with the environment.”
Toys are made with natural, biodegradable, recyclable or recycled materials under sustainable practices. Very little new plastic is used. All toys are child-safe and non-toxic. They are finished with beeswax, water or vegetable based dyes, or non-toxic paints.
Baby-safe meets environmentally-friendly. Sounds like a great combination.

Checked it out myself last Thursday and I have to say I love it. Best for the toddler and baby set, but I found some cars for my boy that are the coolest evah! The owner is a sweet lady and really takes the time to talk and enjoy your company.

I agree with you. My wife and I took our 17 month old daughter there shortly after they opened and the owner was great. She spent a lot of time showing us different toys and letting us know which toys fit our daughters age group.
