City of Destiny Awards - Nominations Still Accepted

It’s not too late to make a nomination for the City of Destiny Awards; the deadline for nominations has been officially extended until January 27th.  So take a minute and think whether there is a person or group in Tacoma who you think deserves some recognition for the hard work they’ve done.  Nominees should be individuals or groups that have volunteered time and energy, not money, within Tacoma’s city limits without financial compensation for their work. 

This is a great opportunity to acknowledge the hard work of volunteers and to draw attention to programs or efforts that really make a difference in the community.  So go ahead, be shameless; nominate your favorite individual volunteer or pet program.  What’s stopping you?  They might even win…

Nominations must be made using a 2012 nomination form, and must be submitted by Friday, January 27, 2012. (This is an official extension of the original deadline of Friday, Jan. 13, 2012.)  The next City of Destiny Awards event, which will spotlight exceptional volunteers who have worked to drive Tacoma forward, will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
