CLC Launches the Community Stewards Program

The Cascade Land Conservancy will be hosting a meeting next Thursday night. This meeting is the founding meeting of the Tacoma Community Stewards network. What on earth is the Community Stewards Network?

Community Stewards will lead a network of volunteers in their community to guide local decisions about future growth, making their communities even better places to live while helping to save the region’s farms, forests and natural areas from poorly planned development. The Conservancy will provide Community Stewards with an organizational structure, communication tools including an online forum, and ongoing technical staff support.

It sounds like an interesting program and its great to see the CLC launching an on the ground program here. If you are interested in attending or to RSVP (note: RSVP is required) check out the info below.
