Closing Night of the Tacoma Film Festival

The Closing Night of the 2nd Tacoma Film Festival is tonight at the Landmark Convention Center. It’s been a week of great films. Having such a large film festival in town—with multiple venues around downtown—will help put Tacoma on the map in the coming years. What’s particularly nice is that it has showcased rising Tacoma filmmakers along side national and international filmmakers.

Tickets are still available; they are $40 and include a full buffet dinner and a chance to rub elbows with some of the week’s filmmakers. The emcee for the evening is Laura Michalek.

Awards will be handed out for Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Feature Film, Best Local Film, and an Audience Choice award.

I guess the wrong e-mail was sent out, the plan is to convene on Tollefson Square at a single time in 2008.

Details are being worked out at this time.

    You have been warned.

    Until Next Time,

I bet the NIMBYs in Northeast Tacoma would be opposed to just about anything you try to build there. They might as well take their suburban mentalities and get Federal Way to annex them to save the rest of us Tacomans a lot of grief.
