Comedian Vanda Mikoloski at Vin Grotto Tomorrow

Maybe comedy is what you’re looking for this weekend?  Comedian Vanda Mikoloski is performing at Vin Grotto tomorrow (8/12) starting at 9:00 pm.  So, it would appear that we’re headed to Vin Grotto tomorrow.  From the website:

Vanda Mikoloski began her stand-up comedy career in 1983 at Catch a Rising Star in New York City, where she was a late-night emcee.

Her radio and television appearances include Showtime’s “Comedy Club Network”, “Comic Strip Live” and Lifetime Network’s “Girl’s Night Out”. She worked out of Los Angeles and Seattle. She was voted the funniest person in Washington in Showtime’s “Funniest Person in America” contest. As a yoga teacher, she toured with award-winning country/pop crossover artists, The Dixie Chicks on their 2000 “Fly” tour for 6 1/2 months, as well as rock sensation Patty Griffin.

She makes her home now in the Pacific Northwest, where she has begun her third career as a “Quantum Comic”, using all of the wisdom and nonsense she’s acquired over the decades to inspire and enlighten through laughter. Vanda riffs passionately about enlightenment, quantum physics, the nature of and pitfalls of being a human being, personal growth, spirituality, metaphysics, yoga and peace. Check our her website www.vanda.us.

RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE SHOW AND REQUIRED FOR DINNER, SO MAKE YOURS SOON! CALL 253.722.5079 AFTER 2:00 P.M. WEEKDAYS. The cost is $15.00 at the door or $10.00 with a dinner reservation.

There are so many things to do this weekend it is nearly overwhelming.  There’s the shindig at Rampart, the McKinley Street Festival, Showcase Tacoma, a Glassblowing Studio’s grand opening, and an artist event at Critical Line.  Not to mention the BBQ we’re headed to or Baci’s half day orientation at CasaCanine.  It’s getting so busy around here, I think I need a vacation…
