Comment Spam
Over the last two years comment spammers have had a hard time figuring out the system that I use for previewing and submitting comments. They’ve tried. However, there are a few hidden traps they have to maneuver to get a comment online. Until Saturday, we had only received one spam comment. Well, as anybody who follows the comments only rss feed already knows, they figured something out. Over the last two days, about a hundred comments have actually been posted and thousands have tried to get online. Most of these point to some hard core… stuff. In response, we’ve added a few more tricks and an additional blacklist provider. So far it seems to be working. We’ll see.
Please tell me if you get blocked from submitting a comment. This should be relatively transparent to you, but you never know…

Is there a link that outlines all of the cuts? I tried to find something on County’s website without much success. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

They have gone deeper. A program that I work for was cut 100%.

I’m glad to hear Pierce County Elected Officials have decided to share the pain and decrease their salaries to help make up for some of the cuts ;)
