Como Agua Para Chocolat - Thursday

The Emergency Food Network’s Cans Film Festival continues with “Like Water For Chocolate,” playing the Blue Mouse on Thursday, August 9th, at 7 pm.

“Like Water for Chocolate” is what you would call magical realism if you were critiquing it in a literature class. It’s principally a love story, but there’s food-related miracles throughout that are surprising, funny, and touching. Roger Ebert gives it four out of four stars.

If you can make it Thursday, check out a great foreign film and support the Emergency Food Network.

The Cans Film Festival is a celebration of the Food Connection at the Emergency Food Network’s 25 years of fighting hunger in Pierce County. All proceeds go to provide food and essentials to those in need.

Tickets available at The Pacific Northwest Shop, or by contacting Krysta Willoughby at the Emergency Food Network at 584-1040.
