Concepts for a Future Tacoma - A Public Meeting

Update: This is tonight!

What:
University of Idaho architecture and design students will present design concepts for the Lincoln Business District and portions of the Brewery District.

Summary:
This fall, senior architecture students at the University of Idaho traveled to Tacoma to work on design projects as a component of a studio class.  After touring Tacoma, the Lincoln District and Brewery District were selected for their historic character and potential for neighborhood visioning, urban design, urban infill, or adaptive reuse projects.  The students will present their concepts at a public meeting on Wednesday, December 6 at 6 pm.  All interested members of the public, City officials, neighborhood residents, business owners, and Neighborhood Councilmembers are invited to attend.  It is hoped that these concepts will spark conversation about the future direction of Tacoma neighborhoods.

When:
Wednesday, December 6, 6 pm

Where:
Whitman Elementary, 1120 S 39th St

This seems like a great opportunity to jump start our minds and further dream about our future.  I’m hoping to be there.  Will you join me? Unfortunately I have class that night…  So tell me about it.
