Constitutions Matter... We Hear

The emails started coming in yesterday around mid-day. What are all the “Constitutions Matters” supposed to mean?  We heard that they were ‘all over’ South 38th Street.  We had no idea that when they said all over… they meant it.  From the corner of South 38th and Tacoma Avenue, we counted seven Constitution Matters billboards.  We saw two on Pacific Avenue between downtown and 38th Street.  We saw four on Sprague.  Somebody’s trying to make a point…

GritCity was the first to go online with news of the billboards.  Their guess, and the one that seems to be most credible, is that it’s Clear Channel protesting the City’s attempt to bring the billboards into compliance with a ten year old law.  Does this help or hurt the Clear Channel cause?  It definitely raises the media profile of the issue, but…

The Clear Channel connection has been confirmed.  The word on the street is that every billboard in town will get the message.
