Copper Door Plans to Open This Week

Tacoma's latest source for beer - craft, specialty, hard to find, and old favorites - is preparing to open any day now. The Copper Door in the Stadium District wants to be your new go-to spot for beer. With literally hundreds of options, we're guessing it will be well worth your time to stop by and see what they have to offer.

The Copper Door offers 16 Rotating Taps, One Nitro, One dedicated Cider Tap and about 750 Bottled Brews that we welcome you to partake in. Indulge in a pint here or take home a growler to enjoy in the comforts of your home. COME AND TASTE THE COMPLEXITY THAT A CRAFT BEER OFFERS

Plans are for the big copper door to open to the public sometime this week, according to a post on the Facebook page over the weekend. The space at 12 North Tacoma Avenue - between Tully's coffee and Gibson's frozen yogurt - was formerly home to a salon.

They'll have bottles to take home, growlers to fill at the tap, and what looks like a really beautiful remodel of the space to enjoy while you decide which of the hundreds of beers is going to be your new favorite.

We're suckers for work-in-progress photos, so we've enjoyed seeing the space come along online, but we're glad to hear they're opening soon. Is anyone else getting thirsty?

I had the chance to walk through about 3 weeks ago when they were there late working and it was looking very nice then. I am looking forward to seeing the finished project.

How long before some tweaker steals that door for a quick fix?
