COTW: Just the Facts
Picking a comment of the week was difficult for us. Here it is late on Saturday and we’ve barely made a decision. Sure, the regular folks like Mofo, Crenshaw, Drizell, etc. displayed their usual smart witticisms and repartee. But none seemed to grab us.
The comment that did seem to come up in conversation more than any other was provided by Jake in the Hanna Heights thread – now with over 50 comments. Jake’s comment, number 32, is straightforward and to the point. More importantly, it was valuable information for the discussion. What was it? Simply the rental rates for all the new apartment buildings in downtown Tacoma. No flowery writing. No pointy knives to the heart of some matter. Simply numbers… and we liked it.

Jake’s comment @52 may be factual but it only proves that those rates exist.
Whether those rates can stabilize the population at Hanna Heights or in downtown Tacoma proper is still a matter of doubt.
It’s the doubtful matter of stability that is behind this issue of regression.
