COTW: Wasn't This About Parking?
Our thread about parking seemed destined for our comment of the week. It starts out talking about Sixth Avenue. Then, Mofo from the Hood – who we figured was neither – brings his subway proposal to the table. This could be it, we thought. Then, Mofo opens up and gives us a little more background on why he is the way he is. We can sometimes predict what y’all are going to say. We never saw this one coming. This is mid-comment:
The time they had was short but mighty. People say they was feelin’ good
Nine months later in the back of a Caddy, my mama gave birth to Mofo from the Hood
I don’t know what to say…

This may be the way Tacoma finds herself. Thanks for posting this, probably the most exciting thing I’ve seen in a long time regarding Tacoma and her future. Great group of people participating and I hope that a good many of e133’s ranks join them. I’m particularly intrigued by what our high school students will have to contribute. Get the high schoolers thinking about Tacoma’s future and we may have a real interesting view.

Yes. If everyone participates, this will be a deep and powerful assemblage of people who care about out city. I was fortunate enough to have been in an organization which long ago sought Dennis Flannigan’s help in redefining itself and its goals. State Representative is just one facet of who he is – He’s a great facilitator.

I was mentioning to someone how Tacoma wants to attract people here. This resident told me “I’d be perfectly happy if they’d just stay away.” Some people don’t want to see the change and growth.
