Council Approves Contract With Broadnax
In case you missed it in our City Council notes, the Council has approved a contract with their choice for Tacoma’s new city manager, T.C. Broadnax. The contract, expected to be signed later this week, will award Broadnax an annual salary of $221,208, along with some bonuses related to moving and living expenses. Once the contract has been signed, Broadnax is scheduled to begin work February 13th. He’s expected to be in town later this week for meetings.
Now the Tacoma/T.C. relationship is about to become official, we’ve realized that we don’t know what T.C. stands for. And we’re curious. Most likely his parents didn’t name him “Total Control” Broadnax as early quotes may suggest… (see the TNT’s candidate profile from December)
