Photo Tolling Coming to Narrows Bridge
We read in The News Tribune today that a new option is coming for paying the Narrows Bridge toll. “Photo tolling” will replace fines for drivers who don’t stop to pay the toll, and don’t have the Good to Go pass displayed. Beginning Saturday, WSDOT will begin billing drivers based on pictures of their license plates, with a slightly higher fee than those passing through the toll booths pay. The change is part of the sluggish process of implementing a single system for tolling state-wide. Fees for the Narrows will be as follows:
Good to Go! Pass: $2.75
Toll Booth: $4.00
Photo Toll (with Good to Go! account, no pass displayed): $3.00
Photo Toll (without Good to Go! account): $5.50
