Kids Vote in Mock Elections

We’re in the final countdown to elections (6 days. Tick. Tick…), so we thought we’d share a way for the younger people in your lives to get involved too.

The Office of the Secretary of State has put together an educational and interactive program in which kids from kindergarten through 12th grade can learn about the voting process and register and vote in their own mock election. The issues are pegged to the age of the voter, and kids won’t get to vote on their own school board or other candidates, but they will get a sense of the process, and learn a thing or two about voting, so that when they’re old enough, they can hit the ground running.

Learn more about the mock elections, or help a junior mock-voter register and vote on the Secretary of State’s Mock Elections page.
