DATE NIGHT: Sunday Brunch Edition

So it’s Thanksgiving weekend and you’re still recovering. What should you do this weekend? Not every date needs to be about a night on the town. Some do better as cozy Sunday mornings.

Unlike a few years ago, it seems like there are some pretty decent options for Sunday morning breakfast. Paddy Coynes has a full breakfast menu with an Irish twist. Dishes include Galway toast, Irish oats, corned beef hash, and an Irish sea frittata. They start serving at 9:00 am.

Puget Sound Pizza’s excellent and very affordable breakfast gets underway at 9:00 am as well.

Stadium Bistro has a new Sunday brunch that looks absolutely stunning. It’s includes buffets and cooked-to-order a la carte options like eggs benedict, omelets, a sausage platter, even a certified Angus flatiron steak. As part of the brunch, you’ll get a complimentary mimosa as well. Seating starts at 11:00 am and brunch goes until 2:30.

After a long breakfast, maybe venturing over to Kings Books and doing some relaxed browsing (and maybe buying, too!) is in order. Think of it as your duty as a shop local zealot. Besides, the folks at Kings are alot more friendly and happy than many of the folks at the mall right now. They open at 10:00 on Sundays and you can lose yourself in there if you want.

So relax Sunday morning and enjoy some quiet time before the mad rush of the holidays begin.
