Dave's Meat and Produce Turns Two!
Since this seems to be a week of birthdays and anniversaries, here’s another one. Dave’s Meat & Produce is turning two this week. We love this little store and are frequent customers. They’ve been a great addition to the neighborhood. So it’s their birthday. We’re not exactly sure how much partying will be happening, but it sounds like there will be bit of celebratory sampling tomorrow beginning at 11:00 am. Plus, this little bit came to us via email:

I LOVE this little store. Derek behind the meat counter is wonderful. I look forward to going there when I visit my daughter Steeno253, because I know we will be having a wonderful dinner due to Daves. Happy Anniversary….

Does Dave’s sell grass fed meat? The last time I was there, it didn’t and so I stopped going. Also, it would be great to see more local and organic produce. Of course they can’t carry these items if there isn’t a big demand…

Daves is the greatest. Mind you, if it’s your first time there don’t make the mistake of calling Derek Dave just because he’s the boss and you assume he must be Dave:-) Best homemade italian sausage, bleau cheese stuffed pinwheel steaks, pork chops….I could go on and on. I do believe I was told that almost all of his meats were “no hormone/grass fed.” I could be wrong but I think I was told that when I inquired at the meat counter.
