Dear Reader ...

Last year was the first time we came to you and asked for some help. We launched the Supporters page and you put enough in our collective bucket to keep us going. Well, as economies shift and we’re asked to get more and more involved, we humbly come to you again.

Once upon a time, we launched this website about Tacoma called Exit133. Since then, we’ve tried to make Tacoma better, one small project at a time. We have several advertising sponsors that have helped tremendously this past year. We can’t thank them enough. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Does Exit133 help you get through your day? Does the civic discussion here help get you involved and know more about the issues? Do you appreciate the quick news items, interesting discussions, and opportunities to get out and enjoy Tacoma? We’re not looking for a handout or charity—just something that says “thanks for what you do,” “how else would I get through the 3pm lull at work?,” “we appreciate your time in the community,” or “I want to be a part of what you do.”

The new Supporters list for 2009 will be out shortly. From this page, you can send your contributions / subscriptions / donations via Paypal or to our mailbox. Just like last year, our specified minimum is $1.33 – which almost gets us an Americano from Metro Coffee. We’ve added several tiers up to $133 and, if you have the means, we also have a new Patron level.

This year we’ve added some highly local rewards for each level. Your name can now include a logo in addition to a link. We’ll be hosting an Exit133 party at the Robert Daniel Gallery to thank our supporters. Chris Sharp will be making some cards. There are bottles of Pont 21 wine – made in Tacoma! Check out the Supporters page for details.

If we do good things for you, please help us continue to do what we do. 2009 is looking to be a good year. With your help, we hope to make it great.

Thank you for reading Exit133.

The Exit133 Team

P.S. We’re still looking for advertising sponsors for both the button ad on each page and several upcoming projects. Think … thousands of regular readers, a great demographic, hyperlocal focus …
